Our Point Heel Fully Fashioned Stockings capture the height of 1950s sophistication, as seen on Parisian catwalks and silver screen sirens. Known for their sleek back seam and elegant pointed heel, these stockings – also called French heel stockings – were a favourite of the couture houses and remain a timeless choice for vintage lovers today.
The distinctive heel detail tapers to a sharp point above the ankle, creating a longer, leaner look that enhances every step. Knitted on original 1950s Reading machines, each pair is crafted to the same exacting standards as they were over half a century ago – for true vintage authenticity you can see and feel.
A Note on Fit and Care
As with all fully fashioned stockings, these are both delicate and size-specific. They’re designed for traditional vintage sizing and will comfortably fit up to a 25" (63.5cm) thigh circumference. If you're on the shorter end of your size range, you may wish to size down for a better fit.
Due to the limited number of vintage machines still in operation worldwide, extended sizing is not currently available – something we hope to see change in future.
