Created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth, the Centennial collection is directly inspired by the lingerie and illusion dressing that defined her most provocative looks.

Unlike our MM100 edit, which styles existing pieces to create a Marilyn-inspired silhouette, Centennial was designed from the ground up as a tribute to Marilyn’s love of sheer, barely-there lingerie. The peach circle stitch bra combines elements of her favourite Whirlpool bras with the ultra sheer “secret” bras used by Hollywood costume departments to create the illusion of nudity onscreen. The coordinating six strap suspender belt was designed to pair perfectly with the ultra sheer skintone stockings Marilyn frequently wore beneath her famously revealing clothing, while the minimal thong reflects her daring attitude towards underwear or often, the lack of it entirely.

Each piece is made in a custom dyed peach tone inspired by Marilyn’s famous nude illusion dressing and designed to coordinate perfectly with our other vintage peach lingerie collections.
