What Katie Did: The world’s best vintage lingerie
What Katie Did is the world's leading brand of vintage inspired lingerie. Our retro underwear is inspired by designs from the 1940s and 1950s and the patterns are often adapted from vintage pieces.
We're most famous for our spiral stitch bullet bra, used by movie costumiers world wide to give actresses a 1950s bustline, including Michelle Williams in the movie 'My Week With Marilyn'. Our Bullet Bras have also been found in more contemporary settings, being worn by performers from Rihanna and Katy Perry, to the Queen of the Bullet Bra herself, Madonna.
Shapewear is just as essential for achieving that 1950s pin up figure. We were asked to design a unique underbust girdle and longline bra for Oprah Winfrey in the movie 'The Butler'. Our standard range of shapewear includes corselettes, waist cinchers and girdles that will really enhance your curves: just ask Christina Hendricks who wore our Glamour Merry Widow and Corselette in GQ magazine.
Feel like a silver screen siren
We have designed an extensive range of steel boned corsets so whether you're after the dramatic curves of an underbust corset or a sensational overbust corset we'll have one to suit and have recently supplied corsets for Kate Winslet for the movie 'The Dressmaker'.
No vintage wardrobe is complete without a pair of seamed nylons. We've got genuine fully fashioned seamed stockings made on vintage machinery, contrast seamed stockings and even, hush hush, seamed tights for those of you who want to combine glamour with practicality. Of course we also have a wide range of 6 strap garter belts to ensure your stockings stay where you want them to!
