Our Glamour Waspie Cincher is primarily made from powermesh so is stretchy - the larger the size, the more the stretch!

Length centre front:  8.5" (21.5cm). Length Side: 7.5" (19cm). Elastic waist tape positioned approx 4" (10cm) from top (measured centre front), 3" (7.5cm) from top (measured centre back). 

Cut to sit just under the bust and finish at the mid-hip, this waspie cincher targets the waist only, allowing freedom of movement while delivering maximum impact. It’s fully steel-boned for support and features a discreet hook-and-eye front fastening that makes it easy to slip on and off. 

Crafted from our signature corsetry powermesh (88% polyamide, 12% spandex), with a sleek non-stretch satin tummy panel (100% polyester), the Glamour Waspie Waist Cincher offers durability, control, and retro charm in equal measure. Like most of our shapewear, it's ethically made in our trusted factory in India.

While this waspie doesn’t include suspenders—due to its shorter length—it’s designed to pair seamlessly with your favourite suspender belt for a complete vintage lingerie ensemble.

• Cinch your waist for a retro hourglass look with our Glamour Waspie. This little steel boned waist cincher is inspired by the waspies worn under Christian Dior's New Look gowns to create a smooth and gently cinched-in waist.

  Powermesh waspies and waist cinchers will not give the dramatic curves of a non stretch steel boned corset as they do contain stretch fabrics. However our cinchers and waspies should give a noticeable reduction to the waist.

  Create 1950s Hourglass Curves with our Waspie Waist Cincher

  The look you achieve will depend on your body composition. One of our models delightfully describes herself as a squishy squirrel which means she easily cinches into an hourglass shape. If you do have a lot of muscle around your torso then you won't get such a dramatic result as muscle doesn't squish into shape. When it comes to cinchers, waspies and corsets, 'squishy squirrels' definitely have the advantage!

   

• Our Glamour Waspie Waist Cincher focuses on your waist which means that your waist measurement is very important. Please check out our sizing page if you are unfamiliar with our lingerie and shapewear. Although we design our shapewear to be tight, many reviews for our Waspie actually see the wearer size down: our customers are hardcore! When you measure your waist be sure to measure tightly as the garment will be worn tightly.

  Our little waspie is about 8” (20.5cm) wide and is fully steel boned with a front hook and eye opening. It does not have suspenders / garters as it finishes mid hip and the straps would be very long with lots of movement which isn’t great for keeping your stockings in place.

  Most of the cincher is made from corsetry powermesh which comprises 88% polyamide, 12% spandex. The satin tummy panel is 100% polyester. It’s made in our main lingerie factory in India and the fabrics match our Glamour, Maitresse, Harlow, 1940s and Retro ranges so you can mix and match.
