Seamed Stockings Champagne Latte Glamour H2040

Seamed Stockings for 1940s and 1950s Day Wear Fashions

If you've worn modern champagne seamed stockings before, you'll probably have noticed that the seam isn't as visible as you might like. Surely, the whole point in wearing seamed nylons is that you can see the seam?

Modern nylons, including modern Fully Fashioned stockings, tend to be a lot sheerer than stockings of the 1940s and 1950s which means that the seam is not as prominent, especially if you're light-skinned and wearing a stocking to match your skin tone.

We've gone back to the drawing board with our champagne Glamour seamed stockings by adding a slightly darker, latte, seam. Combined with a flattering deep welt we hope you'll find them a great complement to your vintage daywear looks.

1950s inspired seamed nylons with a flattering deep welt

15 denier translucent champagne leg with slightly darker latte foot, seam and welt

Stocking Sizing

Glamour Seamed Stockings

Our Glamour Seamed Stockings made from nylon with elastane which means they do stretch making them easy to fit. Our standard range come in two sizes which cover dress sizes UK 10-18 (US 6-14), 5ft to 5ft 11.

Fully Fashioned and RHT Stockings

Fully Fashioned and RHT stockings are made from none stretch nylon (although they do have a little mechanical stretch which means although the yarn is officially none stretch, there is some 'give'). This makes selecting the size far more critical than with modern hosiery which contains elastane or lycra for stretch.

They're stockings are made to fit the average dress sized 12 to 16 woman (8-12 US, 40-44 European). If you are smaller than this please try the size below, if larger please go up one size. Please do not be tempted to go up more than one size as these stockings are non stretch nylon and this will lead to wrinkly ankles!

Why are our FF stocking sizes so limited? Find out on our 'All About Stockings' page.

A very satisfied customer

Stockings were beautiful, and of more robust construction than I thought they would be after reading the description. I do not have the softest or most beautifully manicured hands/nails and I was able to get them on without snagging anything. I was a tad concerned the larger size wouldn't fit my rather generously proportioned self(5'8" and 195 lbs), but happily they fit very well and looked great with my 1950's styled evening dress and worked well with my reproduction vintage heels. I will definitely pick up another pair or two. Thank you!
