This stunning bra gives an authentic 1940s shape to the bust - somewhat pointy, but not nearly so much as a bullet bra.
A lot of our customers are 1940s fashion enthusiasts, but because bra design was really in its infancy then, it was rather hard for us to produce an period perfect Forties bra that would stand up to modern requirements of fit and comfort.
Although bras were first introduced in the early 20th Century, it wasn't until the late 1930s that the concept of cup sizes was introduced. Even then, some lingerie manufacturers didn't offer different cup sizes until the 1950s! We solved this problem by taking a WWII-era pattern and wielding our expertise to grade additional cup sizes.
The result is the CC09 bra, which is faithful to the original in shape and design, but will fit the 21st Century girl! The delicate peach satin also coordinates with that of our Harlow and Glamour ranges, meaning you can mix and match to your heart's content!
As always, I am so impressed with the service! I ordered the bra and it arrived the next day, even though I live in N. Ireland! The bra itself is gorgeous and fits beautifully. I'll be ordering the matching cc09 French knickers next!

The quality is lovely as always but as with all WKD pointy-bras the shape just does not fit me. My boobs are very firm (lucky me!) so they just won't fit the pointed shape, leaving a saggy sad point in my bras. I was hoping this 40s style being less pointy than a bullet bra would suit my breasts better but alas I was not so lucky. Still the quality and the peach shade is lovely as ever.
Hi there! Should you wish for a retro bra with a less pointy shape, do have a look at our Cone Bra, which if often a better shape for those lucky few too round to fill out a bullet bra! WKD x

This is now my favourite bra of all time! The fabric is just wonderful, especially the satin straps, and it is perfectly made. The colour is a bit more towards peach than the pinkish colour in the picture, but if anything, that makes it look even prettier. It is the perfect bra to complete a 40s look!

This has become one of my favorite bras of all time! Perfect for achieving the 1940s silhouette, great under vintage and contemporary clothing. So elegant!

Just got this in the mail and I LOVE it. I need to get some bullet bra pads to make it work for me but it is beautiful and the band fits perfectly.

Unfortunately had to send back as didn't fit my wife - too small generally in 36C and created bunched up skin under the armpits, also not as well finished, no double seams - odd since the Coco cathedral bra and bullet bra bought previously are exquisite. WKD were ultra quick in refunding so pleased with service.

As seen on Marvel's Agent Carter!
I want my costume/cosplay to be as accurate as possible so as soon as I saw this ID'd I had to get one. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Period perfect for WWII reenactment! the colour, the shape, the fabric, we could have sworn that it came direct from the 40s if there weren't adjustable straps

A pretty bra and great under 50's sweaters

Update to earlier review: I ordered a 32D for my 32D model and the bra actually fits just right.

I ordered these for a model shoot, the model is a 32D, the cups seem closer to a C. I will keep it and use for another girl most likely. Good quality.

What won me on this one was the X at the front. While 1950's are all about geometrical yet totally fancy, light-hearted spiral stitches, the X here looks more utilitiarian to me, and thus evoke the WWII era clothes I bought this bra to go with in the first place. I find it pretty comfortable also, since it's a soft cup.

I love my CC09 bra - I often do 40's re-enactment events and I often wear it with my what katie did frenck knickers under genuine 40's clothing, its more subtle than my beloved bullet bras and gives the perfect shape :)
