* Launched in late 2014, our Vamp Corset is now about to overtake our Morticia to become our most popular style!
* Satin underbust corset with cotton twill lining and internal waist tape
* Extreme curve, please deduct 4-5 inches (10-12.5 cm) from your waist to determine your Vamp Corset size
* Stainless steel busk front opening, and a combination of 16 flat spiral steel bones
* Model wears our Vamp Corset in Hot Pink and Black.
This dramatic silhouette was inspired by Tinseltown horror queen, Vampira. Played by the fabulous Maila Nurmi (who boasted a rumored 36"-17"-36" figure) Vampira stalked the screens of the Fifties in a state of perpetual Gothic glamour.
The Vamp is a similar shape to our Morticia, however it is 2" (5cm) shorter, which makes it ideal if you have a petite torso or are very active. The waistline is therefore a little more dramatic than the Morticia, and we have amended the boning for the most comfortable maximum cinch. Our Vamp features the same high-cut back as our Lily, for utmost support and the smoothest possible line under clothes.
The Extreme cut of the Vamp means it is really only suitable for those with vintage figures - you will need a 10 inch (25cm) or greater natural difference between waist and hip measurements. It is an ideal corset to move on to for more reduction if you've outgrown less curvy styles. If you don't have such a vintage figure, try one of our Lily or Riding corsets instead.
The sizes below are reduced waist sizes (i.e. the corset size when it is closed). You will need to deduct 4-5 inches (20-25cm) from your waist to determine your corset size. Please see our Sizing Notes for more information.
We try to keep the Vamp in stock in black satin. A wide range of other colours, from jewel tones to bridal cream and peach are available to order. Special orders take around 3-4 weeks.
These corsets are designed to work hard and reduce your waist by up to 5 inches (12.5 cm). Please deduct 4 to 5 inches (10-12.5cm) from your normal waist measurement to work out your corset size: a natural waist of 29 inches will give a corset size of 24 inches, whilst a natural waist size of 30 inches will give a corset size of 26 inches.
Most suited to vintage figures with a waist 10 inches (or more) smaller than the hip.
* length along front busk 11.5"
* underbust to hip 10"
* side length from underarm to waist 4.5"
* side length from waist to bottom 5.5"
To fit ribcage (5" up from waist) and hip (5" down from waist). Measurements when completely closed.

Just got this corset yesterday and tried it on today. I am below average height (4'9") but I have a longer torso than legs, measuring at 13.5". I was originally about to get the Morticia as I love the long line look and I have Orchard Corset's CS-426, however while I can mostly fit that one, sitting's a little uncomfortable. So I decided to get the Vamp instead of Morticia and I'm glad I did. This corset is pretty comfy and actually cinches my waist/takes off inches, unlike Orchard's which defined my waist but didn't actually remove inches unfortunately. I'm sorta kicking myself for not getting WKD's corset at the beginning and using Orchard Corset instead. It's very comfy to sit in and doesn't pinch anywhere. I'm still breaking this in and will leave another review later.

This corset fits my figure perfectly (very curvy waist-to-hip ratio). I'm usually a 32'' but ordered a 30'' and it fits great. The waist cinch curve is absolutely amazing and there is no bulging over the top/back. Quite discrete under clothes.

I absolutely adore this corset. I have been waist training for about 6 years and this may be my favourite corset. The double boning makes it very sturdy and it's quite comfortable to wear all day. The silhouette is stunning. I wear a 20" and have always had trouble finding corsets that are curvy enough for me as I have quite wide hips. This one fits perfectly over my hips, no numbness or loss of circulation!

This corset is power embodied. It fits like a dream and looks utterly fabulous!

I received it today and I am already in love with this corset! The silhouette is gorgeous, and it fits perfectly. My first corset had a hip curve that is too gentle for me even if its measurements matched mine, because my hipbones are very high and wide. I'm glad I chose this one as its replacement, because the sharpness of the Vamp's curve is perfect for me. It's also at a perfect length for my short torso, and pretty comfortable, even on a first wear. Very much worth the price!

This corset <3
This is my first What Katie Did corset I bought this corset on a whim after reading it offered an extreme curve and that it was perfect for ladies with a big hip to waist ratio. After ordering I read the reviews and worried as a lot of them mentioned it being perfect for shorter girls. I'm 5'8, however it arrived less than 2 hours ago and I tried it on straight away and its PERFECT! I can reduce my waist ALOT and due to the shape of the corset I don't get any bulging on the lower tummy or hips. Its so flattering and comfortable. I will be able to wear this all night and dance in it. This corset is great quality and is an investment. I will store it with my Vollers corset that I've ha over 12 years. Thankyou, I WILL be back for other What Katie Did corsets xxx

Just got this Vamp corset in the mail yesterday and I am so happy!
I ordered a 20" in peach, and the colour is gorgeous. I am still getting used to wearing it, but the shape it gives is absolutely stunning and I find it pretty comfortable. I have a Morticia corset as well, but since I am only 5ft I find the Vamp better for my shorter torso. I work in retail, so being able to move around comfortably is definitely something I love about this corset.

Still seasoning this beauty, but so far I'm impressed. The shape is beautiful and the measurements on size 18 matched mine perfectly. First when I put it on I was a little bit worried that it wouldn't be as good as I hoped, but decided to break it in and see again later. For the first few wears it seemed like it pushed my tummy down to a very ugly pooch (which is weird since my stomach is pretty flat as it is), but somehow it has moulded now to flatten the pooch better and fit as I wanted. This corset is comfortable, beautiful and I have no complaints so far what so ever.

I am obsessed with this style! The length is perfect and the reduction is so much more dramatic than the morticia. I have the asian brocade and I am in love. Beautifully made per usual.

Just received mine today- fantastic service as ever, I ordered it on Thursday late at night, so pretty much next day delivery.
Straight away while seasoning I've noticed that the length is just perfectly comfortable, and it feels sturdy too! As a slightly shorter than average person who's been deliberating over whether to get a Morticia for a while, this new cut is simply wonderful and fulfills my underbust needs perfectly.
I can't wait to order one in peach (or perhaps white cotton) so I can start a full time waist-training regime!
Also that red oriental one is simply gorgeous and I'm trying to resist the urge to buy it; possibly the only problem I have with this company is that they needs to stop making such amazing corsets so I can stick to my budget!

Too big in the hips for me, but gave a GORGEOUS waist reduction. I had to return it, but only because of the huge difference in the hips. I was shocked by this aspect of the corset. I thought it would be perfect, because I have the required 10" difference between the waist and hips, that WKD speaks of... but I had 2" of open space in the bottom hip area and so it looked like I had an open umbrella on under my clothes...

I can't tell you how much I love this corset! I own the Laurie overbust and the Gina underbust corsets from WKD, and they are both lovely, but my back does start to hurt after a fairly short time of wearing them; it was only while reading the description of this corset, and by asking for advice from the lovely, incredibly knowledgable and helpful WKD staff, that I realised that I might be in need of a corset with bigger hips. As soon as I put the Vamp on, I knew it was exactly what I needed, and it's the first corset I've owned that I can sit down relatively comfortably in, but such amazing results already - even though I'm still wearing it in, and the quality is extraordinary - when you receive it, you know why it costs more than cheap versions. Also, the packaging was very solid (which it needs to be, to make it unscathed all the way the New Zealand), and at first when I got the card to say that a parcel had arrived, I didn't think about it being this order, as it only took 5 working days to get here - at Christmas! I'm now saving to get another couple of Vamps, in different colours!

Love it so far, I'm still breaking it in but it is very high quality I could tell as soon as I took it out of the packaging. Very quick delivery came earlier than expected but I don't live to far from where it is shipped from.

I am absolutely in love with my vamp corset. I was hesitant to make such a large investment at first. However, the product is well worth the price for the quality that you receive. I opened the package and tried it on immediately. The fit was exceptional and my waist looks incredible. What a work of art!

As a 5'2" corset fanatic with a 28" waist and 40" hips, most off the rack corset brans just don't do it for me, and buying custom is a real burden on my wallet. I've been drooling over the Morticia for years now, but having an extremely short waist, I was worried that (as with most corsets) that I'd experience discomfort when sitting down. The the Vamp showed up, and it was as though my prayers were answered! I could not be more pleased.
The price was great, the quality is excellent, and my figure looks incredible. I've been tightlacing for years now, so I'm comfortable in a 22", and the effect is exquisite. It fits like a dream on my short torso and gives me that extreme waist to hip ratio that I love. Really an incredible piece.

If you want to achieve a tiny waist then this is for you!

This corset is fabulous!! Great for the shorter torso and gives a fabulous cinch. Although its a bit too curvy for me over the hips, it still looks great and means I can cinch it tighter. It will look great with a fuller skirt so I'm very pleased with it. I have the Baby and the Gina and they are wonderful too in different ways, but this is definitely my favourite to date. Now it is out in other fabrics I think the velvet in particular looks lovely. Give it a go girls; you won't regret it :D

At last a corset for people with a short back waist length! I ordered it in black but I'm now so tempted to order another in a colour combination. I'm still breaking it in but my first impression is FANTASTIC!!!!
Lady Trinity, 17 Nov 2014
The corset is absolutely beautiful! I will leave a more detailed review once I break it in and wear it a few times after that.
Thank you for making a "morticia corset for short people".

Would love to see the other color combinations in photos.
