Our Elsa corset is the "big sister" of our Lily corset, featuring a longer, sleeker line, perfect for cinching in the waist of those of us with taller torsos.

Finishing a little lower on the hips than the Lily, the Elsa is the ideal corset to impose a little flattering tummy control. Cut with a smooth curve to the bottom, this corset features internal boning channels, an unusual design for What Katie Did corsets, but one which ensures a seamless silhouette under clothes. Of course, it is still possible for us to make the Elsa with contrasting boning channels should you desire.

Our Elsa is designed with comfort in mind. This corset has been designed to cup both the ribcage and the hips, ensuring maximum cinch with minimum pinch, resulting in a perfect hourglass figure. If you love a serious vintage shape, but haven't quite got the wasp-waisted figure needed to fill our Morticia, the Elsa could be the corset for you.

For lovers of trivia, our Elsa is named after Elsa Lanchester, the 30s film star who most famously played the title role in Bride of Frankenstein in 1935 (topped with a pretty incredible hairdo!)

The Elsa Corset suits those with a more vintage figures: a 25cm (10 inch) or greater difference between waist and hip measurements is ideal. The sizes below are reduced waist sizes (ie, the corset size when it is closed). You will need to deduct 10-12.5cm (4-5 inches) from your waist to determine your corset size. Please allow 3-4 weeks, plus shipping time, if your corset says to order.

These corsets are designed to work hard and reduce your waist by up to 13cm (5 inches). Please deduct 10-13cm (4 to 5 inches) from your normal waist measurement to work out your corset size: a natural waist of 71cm (28 inches) will give a corset size of 61cm (24 inches), whilst a natural waist size of 79cm (31 inches) will give a corset size of 66cm (26 inches).

Measurements:
* length along front busk 34cm (13.25")
* underbust to hip 28cm (11")
* side length from underarm to waist 13cm (5")
* side length from waist to bottom 18cm (7")

  • This is my very fist WKD corset, I bought the lace version of it and it is just very beautiful.
    A not so uncommon issue with many corsets can be the pressure on the iliac crests and consequential numbness due to the cut of blood circulation and pressure on the nerves.
    This corset however hug the hips so comfortably with no undue pressure whatsoever (which is absolutely important), while giving a marvelous hourglass silhouette.
    If you are looking for a long line corset I would definitely suggest you to try this accordingly to your body measurement.

  • This is my umpteenth WKD corset and it is quite defnitely going to be a favourite. Wonderful fit and creates a fabulous hourglass shape. I am able to wear it for hours without a hint of discomfort. Gorgeous!

  • Really nice fit! From just looking at the measurements I was unsure, but someone in customer service recommended that I try the Elsa, also considering that I have a rather long torso. The size I ordered was how ever a bit big (I could close it completely), so I ordered the size smaller, for comparison and found the smaller to fit well. I guess that is what happens when the corset has the correct fit =0)

  • Wow, FINALLY a corset that doesn’t pinch on my iliac crests. It’s also remarkably comfortable to wear even though I’m moving from an hourglass shape to a wasp waist: There’s steady general overall pressure on the lower ribs, rather than it pinching at any one point. I believe the quality of construction is a major point here; for instance, all the boning channels are tight enough to prevent the bones from twisting, even by the grommets. It’s a great example of the corsetière’s art.

    If I have one criticism, it’s minor and concerns the laces. It’s not that they stretch or stick in the grommets; it’s that they are too light and with too fine a fibre to make it easy to tie one’s self off! I have however got a solution. Take a short length of shoe lace and tie a looseish loop around the lace in each of the bunny ears. This provides a little bit of extra weight that makes the lace behave much more predictably (it also easily identifies which loops you need to pull to release the bow).

    Yes, Katie did very well!

    Hello HRRT!
    We've taken on your feedback and re-evaluated our laces, and are now using a slightly thicker style which we've found make all the difference. These laces are now on all our corsets, so do get in contact if you'd like some replacements!
    Thanks, WKD x
