Vintage Contrast Seam Sweet Jane Fully Fashioned Stockings VS042

Beautiful Fully Fashioned Stockings by Sweet Jane. These stockings are a super sheer 15 denier and feature a very faint welt imprint on one leg. They are made in England. The colour is ‘firelfly’ a light shade of nude.

Note: the box (not included in the sale) has a '10.5' sticker on it, but the stocking welt says 11". 

Vintage Sizing: At a size 10.5-11, these stockings should officially fit a UK foot size 7, US foot size 9, Euro foot size 40. However, it was traditional for stockings in the 1950s and 1960s to be worn lower on the leg than we do today. I have size 8 feet and am a UK dress size 12, US 8 and they did come up too short for me to comfortably wear at 5'5" tall.

Welt Imprint: There is a welt imprint on the welt of these stockings. As with all vintage welt imprints unfortunately they will flake off when worn. If you do find a pretty welt imprint on a pair of stockings the best way to preserve it is to frame them and keep them as a piece of art.
