What Katie Did run a variety of workshops on Sunday afternoons at their
Portobello Road boutique. We're currently running classes on pastie (nipple
tassle) making and retro hair and make up.
Classes are limited to 8 people so everyone will get individual attention,
whilst coffee and cakes are served to keep energy levels up!
Retro Hair and Make Up Classes
Are run by Natasha Hall, who does a lot
of the hair and make up on our shoots, and can also be found at
Nina's Hair Parlour.
Her classes focus on either a 1940s, or 1950s look, using a demonstration
model.
Cost is approximately £20 and the classes run for 2 hours plus chat time.
Ruka is the lady behind our pastie workshops, some of you
might already know her as Cocoa Mae or Chocolat and she also runs
Sugarlesque and has been making burlesque accessories for a few
years now. Ruka can also be found trimming corsets and making
accessories in our boutique.
Ruka also runs fan and knicker workshops independantly to What
Katie Did, so please ask her for details if you're interested.
The first one takes place on Sunday 14th December, and the price is
£25 to include all materials (you'll also have access to What
Katie Did fabrics should you wish to make matching pasties for one
of our corsets).
For more info and booking please contact
Ruka (she can also be
found in our boutique most weekends on 0845 430 8943)
Students will receive a What Katie Did discount voucher they can use in the
shop for any purchases made on the day of the workshop.
