London corset shop selling steel boned corsets,
vintage lingerie and fully fashioned stockings. What
Katie did was voted burlesque costumier of the year 2007 and their corsets
are all hand made in England.
The full What Katie Did collection can be purchased at our flagship boutique
in the heart of London's Portobello Road.
Inside you'll
find our full range of corsets, lingerie, shapewear and hosiery. Our
boutique is really like an old fashioned corsetorium where you'll be able to
be fitted correctly and advised by knowledgeable staff.
Although we try to hold everything in stock there will be
times when we are out of stock of a certain item so if you are desperate for
something please telephone us at least 48 hours in advance so we can ensure
we have it ready and waiting for you.
We are located under the Westway in the Portobello Green arcade.
We are a 2 minute walk from Ladbroke Grove tube station on the Hammersmith
and City Line.
Opening HoursMonday to Saturday 10am to
6pm. Sunday 12 noon to 6pm.
We've tried to make our shop as retro as possible but it's still
way off corsetoriums from the 1940s and 1950s as
this feature
shows.
Portobello Road is famous for it's
antique and vintage stores which line the street, along with it's varied
market.
If you are visiting on Saturday and fancy a 1 mile gentle
stroll then catch the Central Line to Notting Hill and follow the
directions (and crowds) to Portobello Road. First you'll come to all the
antique market and arcades, followed by the fruit and vegetable market. As
you get closer to us you'll see the Westway road which bridges the market
and underneath you'll find both the Portobello Green arcade and a wide
range of stalls selling vintage and new clothes. Once you've visited us
head a few yards further north to discover a few more vintage stores before
relaxing in one of the many bars and restaurants. Be warned, Portobello
Road does get very busy at the weekends but you'll always find the
Portobello Green arcade an oasis of calm!
The best day for vintage shopping is Friday when the area
around Portobello Green is filled with vintage stalls. Over recent years a
buzzing, if slightly smaller, Sunday market has also become established
focusing on new and vintage clothes.
