All credit card numbers are encrypted by 128 bit security using SSL which, in plain English, means that the all important padlock appears at the bottom of your screen when you enter your credit card number and the website address changes from 'http', to 'https'.

Your security is very important to us. When placing an order online we will check your details to ensure that both the CVV number (the 3 digit number on the back of your card) and billing address details are match those on record at your bank. As security is very tight, your order will be 'cancelled' if any of this information is wrong. If this happens to you please telephone or email us so that we can look into the problem for you (which might be as simple as you bank having a slightly different postcode  on file for you to the correct one). Annoying as this might be, I'm sure you'll understand that we don't want to be responsible for any fraudulent transactions.

In addition we use the further security check 3D Secure, why by law, has to be used for Maestro and Switch payments. This again can be slightly annoying as it is a new system introduced by the banks, who's software is run by the banks and is having a few hiccups. Because of the hiccups we are not yet using 3D Secure for other cards.

All information collected is through the ordering/registration process and is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (our Data Protection number is PZ8799892). We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.

The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number (if given), email address and credit/debit card details (if paying by card).

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
