Most women wear a corset these days for the glamour as much as the effect. Wearing a corset akes you back to a more decadent era, making you feel you've just walked out of the Moulin Rouge.

Although lots of lingerie companies say they sell 'corsets' a lot are nothing of the sort! If you plan to use a corset to reduce your waist then check it has either spiral or flat steel boning: anything will loose it's shape very quickly and although it might be fun to wear for one night, shouldn't be expected to last very long or change the waistline dramatically.

Corsets are available with either a plain front or a metal busk opening. All of our corsets feature a busk front as it makes them easier to put on when you're alone.

A correctly fitting corset should not feel uncomfortable. You should feel as if you're being hugged tightly!

Corsets are the ultimate in boudoir dressing, but they needn't be confined to that. A corset  makes a daring top when teamed with a pencil skirt and underbust corsets look fabulous over dresses.

Although corsets are comfortable, unless you're a serious fan of corsetry they can be rather restrictive for every day wear. If you do want to wear a corset every day we recommend an underbust style as it allows more body movement.
