Fully fashioned stockings are made flat, and sewn together, and the resulting stocking is shaped to fit the legs and feet perfectly. Choose from a variety of period accurate shades (the vintage nude shade has just a tiny hint of shimmer about it)or contrast seam versions for a striking look. Whether you're a retro glamour queen or a WWII reenactor with links to a friendly American GI, we guarantee you'll look like you just stepped out of the 1940s!
With the exception of our Retro Seams all our stockings are checked and packed in-house so you can be assured of an absolutely flawless pair.

Sizing: These stockings are made from non stretch nylon so it is important to check the size you require. If you are a size 10-14 you need to order the size as stated. If you are very slender it might be worth considering going down one size. If you are a size 16 to 18 then it would be advisable to go up one size. Please do not be tempted to go up more than one size as these stockings are non stretch nylon and this will lead to wrinkly ankles!

Nylon fully fashioned seamed tights have been made for showgirls and performers since the 1940s, although they would often wear opera length stockings clipped to their knickers to create the same effect. Not that we'd ever discourage you from wearing stockings, but we thought tights would be more convenient in the 21st Century, and so with the cooler months upon us, it was time we introduced them to our range!
Our opaque black tights combine a glamorous vintage look with everyday durability. Manufactured on the same vintage machinery as our fully fashioned stockings, they feature an authentic sewn seam and picot lines, and, being fully fashioned, the thickness of the fabric remains the same from ankle to hip with no variation of shading. This means that they do appear thicker then 'modern' opaque tights and stockings; and they are perfect for real showgirls and modern mini-skirt wearers alike!

Sizing: Sizes S (4ft 11 to 5ft 5, dress 10 to 16) M (5ft 2 to 5ft 7, dress 10 to 16) L (5ft 5 to 6ft, dress 10 to 16)
If you are towards the top of the size chart (ie, 5ft 5 and size 14, then please select the next size - a medium not a small). The size large will fit a slender 6 foot woman, but not a size 16 one.
