Gold Label Garter Belts
A great Garter Belt is an essential part of every vintage lingerie set. Our Gold Label belts add distinctive style and glamour, while remaining comfortable and secure: after all, a fashionable Garter Belt is no good to anyone if it's not up to the job! Just like our Classic Garter Belts, our Gold Label Belts all feature metal garter clips and strong adjusters with teeth that grip firmly in place, to ensure your stockings stay securely in place.
4 Strap Garter Belts
We know! What is the world coming too you're asking yourself? Let us explain: in the 1950s most Garter Belts featured 4 straps. Women wore fully fashioned stockings on a daily basis and coped with 4 straps perfectly well. When we found a couple of vintage 4 strap Garter Belts we decided not to mess with the design, but to keep the 4 straps just like the original.
It has to be said, that our 4 Strap Garter Belts are rather more substantial than you'll find on the high fashion versions which are often extremely narrow and designed to be worn on the hips. If you're going to wear a Garter Belt outside the boudoir you need to wear one that sits firmly yet comfortably on your waist, and is a few inches deep: this will keep the belt nicely in place and explains why women in the 1950s could wear 4 strap garter belts with no slipping and sliding.
Our Marlene Garter Belt is the most distinctive 4 strap design we make, and the shape really is taken from a vintage 1950s design (although, it has to be said that the striking colour combination is unique to What Katie Did).
Lace Garter Belts
Both of our lace garter belts feature the same black rose lace, overlaying sheer fabric and have 6 sturdy metal garter clips. Our Lulu Garter Belt is made from a sheer red fabric with black lace over, while flashes of red satin peek through the vintage faggoting stitching. This belt is quite deep so is great for offering a little shaping over the tummy.
Gwendoline is our latest lace garter belt. It's slightly narrower than our other garter belts which makes it perfect if you like more delicate lingerie. The colours used for Gwendoline were often found in 1950s French lingerie: a sheer champagne base mixed with black.
